Formed in 1996, the CSDC has grown amazingly over the past few years. Our local membership is constantly on the increase and we have interstate members also. We are one of the largest and most active sled dog club's in Australia.

Recreational mushing has been popular in the United States and Canada for decades. Here in Australia it is growing very fast in popularity amongst dog owners. It doesn't matter what sort of dog you have as long as it is strong enough to pull you along on a scooter.

If a leisurely run with your dog through some of the prettiest forest trails in the ACT sounds like fun, come and see what the Canberra Sled Dog Club has to offer.

We hold regular training/social gatherings every Saturday and Sunday at Kowen Forrest from April to September (that's when the weather gets cold enough to run the dogs-we don't run once the mercury hits 13 degrees C).
